Brule and AIRO are performing at 7:30 p.m. today at the Jamestown Civic Center. Tickets are $22.50 at the door.
"The Liar," presented by the Jamestown College Theatre, is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, April 2-4, at the Reiland Fine Arts Center's DeNault Auditorium. Tickets are $7 and can be reserved at the box office by calling 252-3467, ext. 2435, or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Spring Concert of the Jamestown Choralaires and the Jamestown Boys' Choir is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 3-4, at the James-town High School Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for students available from any Choralaire or Boys' Choir member.
The El Zagal Shrine Circus is at 4 and 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Jamestown Civic Center. Gates will open one hour early. Advance tickets are $9.50 for adults and $5.50 for children and are available at Hugo's, County Market, the Civic Center, M and H Gas Station and north and south Stop 'N' Go. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $6 for children.
The Home and Garden Show 2009, presented by the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce, is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 4, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at the Civic Center. The show features nine seminars during the two days and more than 50 vendors. There is no admission charge and the seminars are free.
The Buffalo Mall Chili Cook-Off is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Buffalo Mall in Jamestown.
Open Mic Night, hosted by local musician John Crowston, is from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Babbs Coffee House. The open session is available to anyone wanting to perform.
Open swimming at James-town High School is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through April, except April 12. Use the east doors. There is no admission charge.
Gyms are open from noon to 2 p.m. Saturdays at Roosevelt and Gussner Elementary schools. Free indoor walking is available at Wilson Arena at 8 a.m. daily except when a hockey game is scheduled.
National Buffalo Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays by appointment. Admission: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and AAA members, $10 for a family and $1 for children ages 6 to 18.
Alfred Dickey Public Library hours are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sundays. To access the Story Line, call 252-7464.
Storytime is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alfred Dickey Public Library. The theme is "Mud Puddles."
The Arts Center, located at 115 Second St. S.W., Jamestown, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and by appointment Saturday. There is no admission charge.
The Putnam House in Carrington is open for special events and by appointment by calling 701-652-2090. There is no admission charge.
The Barnes County Historical Museum, 315 Central Ave. N., Valley City, is open year round from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is a freewill donation.
"Sculpted Landscapes," an exhibit by artist Ken Delgarno, is on display through April 25 at the Arts Center in Jamestown. There is no admission charge.
Arts After Work, a program for adults to try different art experiences, is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the Arts Center. Monday it's Pysanky with Linda Ova. Each class is $5 and all materials are provided. Call the Arts Center at 251-2496 or e-mail email@example.com for more information.

Barry Kleider's photographs are the March exhibit on display at Unison Bank in Jamestown. Each month Unison features a different area artist.
