High-scoring junior Adam White surged past 1,000 career points with 20 of them in Ellendale’s 47-40 Saturday night win over Sargent Central.

White and Zach Dathe (12) were both in double figures as the Cardinals overcame a slow 21-point first half.

Sargent Central, which got 26 points from Brandon Wyum, led 24-21 the break. Ellendale won the second half 26-16.

Fourth-ranked Four Winds-Minnewaukan had it going again Saturday, piling up 98 points in their 10th win of the season.

Trayvon McKay poured in 28 points and swished home five 3-pointers. Teammate Hadley Smith drained six triples and finished with 21 points. Jason LaRock came off the bench to add 14 in the win. The Indians poured in 30 third-quarter points.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion outscored Hankinson 18-8 in the second quarter and easily toppled Hankinson in girls action Saturday.

Tasha Piehl and Courtney Carlson had matching 15-point games for the Loboes. Piehl knocked down three from deep. Anna Holen added nine and Tanys Ulmer eight.

Wrestling

Carrington had three champions en route to winning the Rugby Panther Booster Invite on Saturday.

Joe Bakke won a 10-2 major decision over Linton-HMB’s Chase Jacob at 126. Walker Carr used a 10-1 decision to best Turtle Mountain’s Eugene Fleetwood at 145, and at 182, Riley Lura pulled out a thrilling 3-1 overtime win against Turtle Mountain’s Brandon Rodriguez.

Patrick Freeman (138), Billy Holtan (152) and Bridger Anderson (170) made it to the finals, but lost for Carrington, which had 10 wrestlers place in the top four.

The Cardinals scored 257 points to edge Pembina County North (226.5) and South Border (215.5) for the team title.

South Border’s Tyler Toepke-Floyd, Brayden Kuntz (160) and Tucker Meidinger (195) also won titles, as did Harvey-Wells County’s Carson Koble at 132.
