Williston mulls homeless housing during cold snaps

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) -- Williston Mayor Ward Koeser is slated to appoint a committee to address temporary housing during dangerous cold snaps in the oil boomtown city.

The Williston Herald reports that Koeser received unanimous support from city leaders to form the committee.

Koeser says the idea came up after he received a phone call from a local minister who said temporary housing was needed for the homeless during hazardous weather.
