Woman died Saturday from Rugby, N.D. rollover
A Rugby, N.D. woman who was injured in a rollover crash Thursday died on Saturday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 1:27 p.m. Thursday on N.D. Highway 3, south of Rugby.
Brenda Burns, 53, was southbound on 3 driving a 2006 Buick LaCrosse when she failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, the patrol said. The vehicle entered the ditch and Burns overcorrected. The vehicle rolled an undetermined number of times and came to rest on its side, the patrol said.
Burns was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, the patrol said. She was taken by air ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Minot. She succumbed to her injuries and passed away, the patrol said.
The incident investigation is ongoing by the NDHP.
