Woman found and arrested for meth
A 42-year-old Jamestown woman who went missing for more than 24 hours was found late Wednesday morning and arrested for allegedly possessing methamphetamine.
Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger said Mary Jo Baker was located around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in a vehicle near the Frontier Village Amphitheater.
Edinger said Sgt. Brian Miller and officer Andrew Noreen spotted a vehicle that matched the description of Baker’s vehicle, a maroon Chevrolet Equinoix SUV, in the parking lot next to the amphitheater.
Edinger said Miller and Noreen arrested Baker after they searched the vehicle and found a substance later identified as methamphetamine and meth-related drug paraphernalia.
Baker is in the Stutsman County Correctional Center. Edinger said she has not been formally charged and no bail had been set as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
