Woman killed in second N.D. biking death of summer

FINLEY, N.D. — A woman from Portland, N.D., became the second triathlon athlete killed on a North Dakota road this year after a car rear-ended the bicycle she was riding.


The Lisa Knudson, 54, was biking west on state Highway 200 near Finley about 6:45 p.m. Friday, when she was struck by a pickup driven by 34-year-old Matthew Kelley Strand, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
