Workshop for bloggers set
The North Dakota Department of Commerce will host the seventh annual workshop for bloggers and writers April 13-14 at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Fargo.
Rachel Hutton, editor in chief of Minnesota Monthly magazine, will be one of the featured speakers at the event. Hutton leads the state’s essential guide to the life and culture of the Twin Cities and the surrounding region. Hutton spent six years as the magazine’s food and travel editor, a gig that included driving a houseboat on Lake Vermillion, touring the bath-fixture factories of Kohler, Wis., and eating guinea pig. Her writing has been included in several editions of Best Food Writing and she is a regular guest on Minnesota Public Radio.
The workshop will also feature Jessie Veeder, North Dakota-based musician and writer and Amity Moore, a Denver-based freelance writer and editor who specializes in travel and art.
The event will feature ways to explore and write about all things “North Dakota,” along with workshops focused on connecting bloggers and writers with more information to hone their skills and business sense. The event will also include a dine-around in downtown Fargo Sunday evening for participants.
Registration for the event is $50. Space is limited. A room block has been set aside at the Radisson Hotel. Reservations can be made by calling the Radisson at (701) 232-7363. Request the Bloggers & Writers Workshop when calling to make reservations.
