Vaccinations for the H1N1 flu, commonly known as the swine flu, will remain limited to high risk groups until later this week, according to Robin Iszler, administrator of the Central Valley Heath District.

Vaccinations for the H1N1 flu, commonly known as the swine flu, will remain limited to high risk groups until later this week, according to Robin Iszler, administrator of the Central Valley Heath District.

“The state has said we can open swine flu shots to all healthy adults based on available vaccine,” she said. “We’re looking at later this week when we’ll open it to all.”

Swine flu shots are being given to all high risk groups by appointment at CVHD. High risk groups include pregnant women, children under 18, adults with chronic diseases and caregivers of children younger than 6 months.

When available, swine flu shots for healthy adults will also be performed by appointment at CVHD when vaccine is available.
