JVC Prowl Green goes 4-0

The Jamestown JVC Prowl Green hockey team went 4-0 over the weekend at the Watertown Jamboree. JVC goalie Alex Schauer picked up 22 saves to help the Prowl Green team take down Brookings 3-2 in the first game of the jamboree. Dan Reimers, Nick Schaack and Zachary Hanson picked up goals during the contest. Reimers’ and Schaack’s goals were assisted by Chandler Haut and Erik Milender, respectively.

Dan Reimers, Nick Schaack and Zachary Hanson picked up goals during the contest. Reimers’ and Schaack’s goals were assisted by Chandler Haut and Erik Milender, respectively.

The Prowl went on to defeat the Sioux Falls Flyers 5-2. Chris Hare, Schaack, Trevor Stenvold and Milender all picked up unassisted goals in the game, while Haut was assisted by Milender for goal No. 5.

Zach Hanson earned 20 saves in the net for JVC.

The Prowl dismantled the Oahe Capitals 9-1 in Game 3, behind four goals from Stenvold.

Haut, Kelton Beedy, Schaack and John Halgrimson produced the other five goals for JVC, with Schaack scoring twice. Stenvold and Halgrimson earned assists during the game, while Schauer picked up 29 saves between the pipes.

In their final game, the Prowl’s Nick Schaack buried the winning goal in a 5-4 shootout victory over Rushmore. Hanson earned 25 saves in the net, while Milender scored a pair of goals and Stenvold also picked up a goal. Stenvold also earned an assist.
