Camp Grassick receives grant

Camp Grassick, the North Dakota Elks residential summer camp for children and adults with various disabilities and special needs at Dawson, N.D., has received a match grant in the amount of $30,000 from Dakota Medical Foundation out of Fargo to support its program operations for 2009-2010.

Camp Grassick, the North Dakota Elks residential summer camp for children and adults with various disabilities and special needs at Dawson, N.D., has received a match grant in the amount of $30,000 from Dakota Medical Foundation out of Fargo to support its program operations for 2009-2010.

Dakota Medical Foundation will match donor contributions to the total amount of $30,000. Contributions raised by Camp Grassick up to $30,000 will be matched by DMF for $30,000 generating $60,000 for the 2009-2010 operations of its programs.

The minimum contribution eligible for a DMF match is $50 this year and checks may be made out directly to Elks Camp Grassick.

Camp Grassick is a nonprofit organization serving children and adults with various special needs from around the state of North Dakota and the Fargo area. Six different camping sessions are held during the summer at its facility in south central North Dakota targeting various populations and age groups. Camp Grassick provides therapeutic as well as recreational activities to individuals with various disabilities and special needs in a safe, supportive environment while they enjoy a summer camping experience.
