Babysitter training class set
The Lighthouse in Edgeley is sponsoring Babysitter’s Training by the American Red Cross for youth ages 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 18. Students will need to bring a sack lunch.
The Lighthouse in Edgeley is sponsoring Babysitter’s Training by the American Red Cross for youth ages 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 18. Students will need to bring a sack lunch. Cost is $32. Class size is limited so those who would like to take the training are asked to sign up early by calling the American Red Cross, Buffalo Valley Chapter at 252-3550.
Babysitter’s Training is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, video, role-playing and discussion. Students learn basic child-care skills such as diapering, feeding and dressing; handle bedtime and discipline issues; care for common injuries and emergencies such as choking, burns, cuts and bee stings; identify safety hazards and prevent injuries; how to choose safe, age-appropriate games and toys; and communicate effectively with parents.
