Hi-Acres staff honored for service

Gary Riffe, president/ administrator, of Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, presented awards to 31 staff members for years of service at the annual Christmas party held at the Nafus Center on the Jamestown College Campus. Five-year service awards were given to: Susan Davis, CNA; Laurel Holtan, LPN; Melanie Hughes, Laundry; Tracey Moore, RN; Wayne Pfaff, maintenance; Patricia “Deb” Steele, Therapy; Hasmik Ter-Vardanyan, CNA; and Billi Zupan, LPN.

Those completing 10 years of service were: Nancy Burgard, office manager; Deb Fode, secretary; Amber Liebold, CNA; Nicole Mittleider, CNA/ staffing; Tracey Odland and Mary Russell, both housekeeping; Laura Sad and Sherri Weixel, both CNAs; Caroline Windingland, RN; and Paula Woods, transportation.

Awards for 15 years of service were presented to Marie Hakanson, dietary; Karen Liebold, CNA; and Norma Zimmerle, laundry.

Those receiving pins for 20 years of service were Cora Hayes and Carla Willey, both RNs; Teree Rittenbach, GNP; Oscar Vilhauer, maintenance; and Kim Wiese, dietitian.

Completing 25 years of service were Deb Hagerott, dietary, and Nancy Steckler, activity director.

Recognized for 30 years of service were Marcie Duff; Central Supply; Cora Harr, CNA; and Raelene Schuh, RN/unit manager.

The employee appreciation committee gave out numerous gift certificates as prizes.

Pat Dardis, ARNP, was honored for her years of service to the residents as a nurse practitioner from MeritCare Clinic. She has been seeing the residents at Hi-Acres Manor for more than 16 years. A gift was given to the John Dardis Memorial Hospice Small Gift Fund at Jamestown Hospital in her honor.

Special music was provided by Teresa Troyer from Mound City, S.D.
