Vikings put most players in Pro Bowl

The Minnesota Vikings had a league-high eight players named to the Pro Bowl. Quarterback Brett Favre, running back Adrian Peterson, offensive guard Steve Hutchinson, defensive end Jared Allen and defensive tackle Kevin Williams are all returning to the Pro Bowl this year.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings had a league-high eight players named to the Pro Bowl.

Quarterback Brett Favre, running back Adrian Peterson, offensive guard Steve Hutchinson, defensive end Jared Allen and defensive tackle Kevin Williams are all returning to the Pro Bowl this year.

Left tackle Bryant McKinnie, receiver Sidney Rice and special teamer Heath Farwell will be making their first appearances in the game.

If, of course, the Vikings do not make the Super Bowl this year. The game will be played the week before the Super Bowl in Miami this season.

McKinnie made it despite being benched two weeks ago for poor play against Carolina. He will start for the NFC, along with Allen, Hutchinson, Williams and Peterson.
