One dead in car-truck accident

ELLENDALE, N.D. (AP) — One man was killed Tuesday when a truck and car collided on U.S. Highway 281 about five miles south of Ellendale.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the 75-year-old victim was driving a car that drifted across the center line and collided with the oncoming truck. His name was not immediately released.

The patrol said the truck driver, Kevin Barton of Frederick, S.D., was treated at an Aberdeen, S.D., hospital.
