WORTHING, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say a 48-year-old Sioux Falls woman died in a collision on Interstate 29 in southeast South Dakota.

A news release from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred around 3:30 Friday morning, two miles north of the Worthing exit.

The department says a northbound Cadillac ran into the rear of a Jaguar, knocking the Jaguar into the east ditch.

A Subaru that came up from behind then struck the Cadillac, which had remained on the highway.

A passenger in the Cadillac was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not released.

The Cadillac and Jaguar drivers suffered serious injuries, but the Subaru driver suffered only minor injuries.

Authorities say drunken driving is suspected in the collisions.
