City to begin snow removal tonight

City crews will begin removing snow from the downtown area in Jamestown at 11 p.m. today, and continue during the night.

City crews will begin removing snow from the downtown area in Jamestown at 11 p.m. today, and continue during the night. Downtown merchants are asked to have their sidewalks shoveled by 9 p.m. before the blades begin the downtown snow removal program.

Drivers are also asked to use caution in windrowed areas in the streets during the snow removal process.

City crews will begin snow removal in residential areas starting at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The schedule is contingent upon changing weather conditions and snow accumulation totals.
