N.D. weed control officials to meet

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Weed control officials from across North Dakota are meeting in Mandan this week.

The 2010 North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner's Weed Forum and the annual meeting of the North Dakota Weed Control Association are Tuesday through Thursday at the Best Western Seven Seas Hotel.

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says topics this year will include the new invasive weed halogeton (hal-oh-JEE'-tun) and proposed changes to North Dakota's list of noxious weeds.
