BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota wildlife officials say access to some lakes for ice fishing is becoming an issue because of above-average snow cover.

Game and Fish Department Fisheries Chief Greg Power is reminding winter anglers to be mindful of private property.

Power said there were similar access problems last year, and the department received several complaints from landowners about people driving through fields to access a lake because public roads were blocked by snow.
