Letter to the editor: Family making the effort to recycle in Jamestown

Our family recently started to recycle what we can after reading two articles in The Jamestown Sun. We take it to the Renaissance Recycling center north of the post office. I noticed that we don’t have much garbage to haul out. That will save time for the sanitation employees on not having extra bags to carry to the garbage truck, especially now during cold temperatures. It will also help prevent any stray animals from scattering it around. We really encourage everyone to recycle.
I also recommend people visit or call the recycling center to see what else can be recycled. Check the triangles on containers, bottles, bags, etc. where they go in the boxes at the center. You’ll be amazed to see how much can be recycled from the home, office or from uptown when you get a pop. Look for those numbers, rinse them out and “Happy recycling!”
