Donna Hafner, 58, Wishek, N.D., died Jan. 5, 2010, at Wishek Hospital, Wishek.

Donna Mae Neumiller was born Dec. 3, 1951, in Harvey, N.D., the daughter of John and Ella Mae Neumiller. She grew up on the family farm near Heaton, N.D., and attended school in Fessenden, N.D. Following high school she attended secretarial school in Fargo, N.D. She married Albert Hafner on Dec. 31, 1970. They moved to Tennessee. They divorced in May 1978 and she moved back to North Dakota. She lived in Carrington, N.D., Grand Forks, N.D., Cooperstown, N.D., Linton, N.D., Ashley, N.D., and Wishek. She worked in various occupations including secretary, paramedic, lab technician, dietary staff, medical secretary, bartender and customer service representative. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed learning, reading and her pets.

She is survived by her companion, Robert Buchholz, Wishek; a daughter, Renelle (Shawn) Walker, Creston, B.C., Canada; a son, Scott (Cheryl), Napoleon, N.D.; her mother, Carrington; a brother, Dallas (Linda), Grand Forks, N.D.; a sister, Verna (Ed) Linderman, Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Grace Lutheran Church, Carrington, with the Rev. Richard Biberdorf officiating.

Visitation: none planned. Arrangements by Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Burial: Heaton Cemetery, Heaton, N.D., in July.
