Jeffery Metz, 43, 331 Fourth Ave. S.W., was driving a 2003 Buick passenger car south about 1 1/2 miles west of N.D. Highway 20 on 16th Street Southeast around 9:30 p.m.
Metz was en route from work to home traveling east along 16th Street Southeast. He was attempting to use his cell phone and lost control of the vehicle, officials said. The Buick slid off the roadway, hit an approach, rolled and came to rest off the roadway.
