Troy Gunderson, executive director of Youth For Christ has been working with the film company and Lyman Keim, the local theater owner, to get the movie to Jamestown. It is a real-life portrayal of today’s youth culture and how one young man is forced to take a serious look at his life after the loss of a childhood friend.

“Because they’re limited in the number of available copies, we had to ensure the sale of 1,000 tickets to get the movie here,” Gunderson said. “We believe it has a powerful massage that every teenager and adult should see.”

Many church youth leaders have made plans to take their groups to the movie and there has also been a lot of interest from groups outside Jamestown, Gunderson said.

“Jamestown and Minot are the only theaters in North Dakota where the movie is opening,” he added. “So that gives Jamestown a nice advantage for inviting folks to our community.”

Groups are encouraged to make reservations with the theater at 252-5688. More information can also be obtained by calling Gunderson at Youth For Christ, 252-5501, or by visiting the Web site tosavealifemovie .com.
