Building collapse will cost NDSU $1 million

North Dakota State University officials expect to be reimbursed by insurance for costs associated with the collapse of part of a building on campus.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University officials expect to be reimbursed by insurance for costs associated with the collapse of part of a building on campus.

Interim President Richard Hanson estimates that the collapse will cost the university at least $1 million, including the cost of demolishing portions of Minard Hall.

The northwest wall of the four-story building used for classrooms and offices collapsed Dec. 27 next to an area that had been excavated for an expansion project.
