PBK outlasts E-K in OT

Despite a slow start, Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal rallied to defeat Edgeley-Kulm 49-45 in overtime of a District 5 game Tuesday night. PBK tied the game at 42-all at the end of regulation and then outscored Edgeley-Kulm 7-3 in the overtime period.

Despite a slow start, Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal rallied to defeat Edgeley-Kulm 49-45 in overtime of a District 5 game Tuesday night.

PBK tied the game at 42-all at the end of regulation and then outscored Edgeley-Kulm 7-3 in the overtime period.

Kelly Carlson led PBK with 17 points and Sierra Sand followed with 10.

Edgeley-Kulm was paced by Jessa Lindgren with 14 points and Dakota Hoots with 11.

Sixth-ranked Harvey outscored Four Winds 16-5 in the first quarter to shake off a slow start and beat Four Winds in District 7 action.

Maggie Lorenz led a balanced Harvey attack with 14 points, while Amy Buxa added 13 as the Hornets trailed 15-12 after one quarter, but outscored the Hornets 50-28 over the final three quarters.

Jessica Hale topped the Indians with 16 points.

Maddock scored 14 points to Wells County’s four in the final quarter as the Bobcats defeated the Bears 59-40 Tuesday night in Fessenden.

Erin Leier led the Bobcats with 17 points and teammate Ashley Foss followed with 13.

Wells County had just three players get in the scoring column with Sam Maxwell leading the way with a game-high 24 points. Kara Fike had 13 points and July Erfle had three.

Napoleon hung on to win 64-56 against a charging Sheridan County team Tuesday night.

Sheridan scored 16 points in the third quarter to nearly erase an eight-point halftime deficit, but Napoleon’s 19 points in the fourth quarter was enough to earn the win.

Kendra Weigel and Sheridon Dewald each scored 20 points, while Rikki Schmidt followed with 17 of her own.

Karissa Erdmann and Kimberly Tkach chipped in 13 points apiece to lead Shridan County. Neilie Dockter and Abigail Martwick also reached double digits by contributing 10 points each to Sheridan’s total.

Coleman defeated Linton’s Andrew Leer 6-0 at 103 pounds. Oakes’ Deven Loep (125), Taylor Ptacek (160), Ethan Plemel (189) and Max Ketterling (215) all won by forfeits.
