The Jamestown Community Education program includes a nurse’s assistant skills training class as part of its curriculum for the winter session. The class teaches the basic hands-on skills needed for the Certified Nursing Assistant test. Some independent study is required to pass the written portion of the test. All materials needed for study are available.
The group developed this 18-hour curriculum which is open to anyone 16 years of age or older interested in becoming a certified nurse’s assistant.
The funds donated by the Jamestown Medical Foundation are to be designated specifically for scholarships to be granted for the sole purpose of assisting in tuition for students wishing to complete the CNA skills training.
Registration and inquiries into the class or scholarship requirements can be attained by calling the Career and Technology Center at 252-8841. Ask for Deb Bentz or Wanda Opland.
