Probation given in window porn case

A Grand Forks woman accused of showing pornography on a TV that could be seen and heard from a nearby elementary school has been sentenced to a year of probation.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — A Grand Forks woman accused of showing pornography on a TV that could be seen and heard from a nearby elementary school has been sentenced to a year of probation.

Thirty-seven-year-old Nicole Ann Altendorf also was ordered to undergo a chemical-dependency evaluation.

Altendorf pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors — preventing arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. Prosecutors dropped two felony charges, including assault on the police officer who arrested her last October.

If Altendorf successfully completes her probation, the convictions will be wiped from her record.
