Letter to the editor: Count your blessings during this harsh N.D. winter

After this past week of freezing fog, ice, snow, winds and now colder, we have a lot to be thankful for. In our area we had poles intact, but torn wires, so a few of us were out of power for about three days. But with the help of generators, etc., friends and neighbors and especially Northern Plains Electric and any others out there working, we got through and power has been restored.

Here in North and South Dakota are people who are out and will be for awhile. But everyone is out there working and trying their best.

Our road departments have been, and will be, out there cleaning in towns and country. Their work is cut out for them. As have been bus drivers, postal carriers, ambulances and rescue squads and so many others. Maybe you should count your blessings; not your woes for those may have been created by you.

Thank someone today and not find fault. January has ended and February is here. And as like last year, we have another interesting winter, all so special in its own way!
