Marketplace for kids named one of best youth entrepreneurship programs

The Midwestern Office of the Council of State Governments supports several groups of state officials, including the Midwestern Governors Association and the Midwestern Legislative Conference, an association of all legislators in the region’s 11 states. The Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan are also affiliate members of the MLC.

In its November Newsletter, the Marketplace for Kids program was mentioned as one of the best youth entrepreneurship programs in the nation.

The program is sponsored by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, a grant from the North Dakota Legislature through the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education, North Dakota Farmers Union Insurance, the Staples Foundation for Learning and hundreds of other sponsors.

Region 6 events for Marketplace are May 7 at Jamestown College.
