SCARTA plans public card party
The Stutsman County Area Retired Teachers Association met Jan. 26 at the James River Senior and Community Center with 17 members and guests attending. Plans for the Annual Public Card Party to be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday were finalized. Pinochle, bridge and whist will be played with prizes awarded for each. Lunch will be served.

An informative program was presented by Nancy Steckler, an activity director at Hi-Acres Manor. She spoke about the Alz-heimer’s Unit, some of the activities the Day Dream Team have come up with and provided for the residents, and answered questions.
The next regular meeting of SCARTA will be March 23.
