JVC Green win 2 over weekend

The Jamestown-Valley City Pee Wee Green went 2-1 over the weekend, including a shootout victory over the Grand Forks Mustangs.
In the first game, Chandler Haut scored twice, while both Alex Milender and Erin Milender each had a goal and an assist as JVC won 5-3 over the Devils Lake Flames. Nick Schaack also lit the lamp for the Green while Zach Hanson made 16 stops in net.
The Minot Ducks got the best of the Green in the second game, defeating JVC 5-2.
Schaack scored his second goal of the weekend with the assist going to Dan Reimers and Kelton Beedy. John Halgrimson scored the other goal for the Green with the assist going to Erik Milender. Hanson made 37 saves in the contest.
In the weekend’s final game, against the Grand Forks Mustangs, Trevor Stenvole and Chris Hare scored in regulation for the Green and then in the shootout Stenvold and Alex Milender found the back of the net to give JVC the 4-3 victory.
Erik Milender had assists on both regulation goals and Alex Milender played his part in the Stenvold’s first goal. Hanson turned away 14 shots in the process.
