Letter to the editor: Boy Scouts is a great organization for youth

Well it is the 100th birthday of the Boy Scouts in this great nation of ours. The Boy Scouts has long been a great organization to help young men to become our future leaders and it is still going better and stronger. The Boy Scouts have achieved a lasting impression on boys who have put on that uniform.

Being a Boy Scout is not only cool but it will shape a young man to further do great things in his life and shape this nation as well as the world. Not only does a young person become a better citizen but it is fun to camp and be around young men as himself. It also promotes comradeship, responsibility and leadership and to help others in great need.

Adults, too, can be a part of Boy Scouts as Scoutmasters, den leaders, committe members, etc. in order to help the boys learn and to advise them to make good decisions. We as a nation should show our gratitude to the Boy Scouts and encourage them to further their path through life. Also, we should encouarge others to join Cub Scouts, then Boy Scouts and finally to Venturing crews where both boys and girls can participate.

Boy Scouts is a great organization that will go further to future heights to shine and to promote the well-being of its members. Let us strive to make it better for future generations.
