Hoeven arrives in Kosovo, meets with N.D. soldiers

North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven and Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard, spent their first day on the ground together today cat Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, on a visit to show support for North Dakota troops deployed throughout Kosovo.

their first day on the ground together today cat Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, on a visit to show support for North Dakota troops deployed throughout Kosovo.

Hoeven arrived late Wednesday night and ate breakfast with North Dakota

soldiers this morning. Sprynczynatyk and Brig. Gen. Al Dohrmann, Bismarck,

the commander of the U.S.-led Multi-National Battle Group-East at Camp

Bondsteel, also attended the breakfast with about a dozen Soldiers from

North Dakota.

Sprynczynatyk arrived in Kosovo on Tuesday and spent the day visiting with

Soldiers from across the state.

The governor, Sprynczynatyk and Dohrmann are slated to hold a news

conference via video conference back to North Dakota at 10 a.m. Friday.

There North Dakota contingent of KFOR 12 (Kosovo Forces) arrived in Kosovo

in late October, as part of a yearlong deployment in support of NATO

peacekeeping operations.
