Mayer named to Hall of Fame
Al Mayer of Jamestown was named to the North Dakota Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame at its annual convention held in James-town Jan. 28-30. Mayer has been in the auction business of selling farm equipment, real estate, household and antiques locally and in several states.
Al Mayer of Jamestown was named to the North Dakota Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame at its annual convention held in James-town Jan. 28-30. Mayer has been in the auction business of selling farm equipment, real estate, household and antiques locally and in several states.
Mayer is also known for his knowledge of horses and all livestock and has sold in several livestock sale rings in the area.
Mayer and his wife, Dorothy, have operated Mayer Auction Service for some 30 years. He has also helped established auctioneers and those just starting in the business.
