Letter to the editor: Democrats make petty attacks against Hoeven

Another Democratic Party generated attack letter, aimed at Gov. John Hoeven, this one signed by Bill Couchigan, is making its way into the papers.
Once again, the pettiness is apparent. The Democrats are so worried about who gets credit for activities in the Red River Valley. They seem more concerned about who gets credit than the results. Obviously, they have forgotten Ronald Reagan’s motto: “It is amazing what can be accomplished if you are not worried about who gets the credit.”
The difference in attitude between Hoeven and Democrats is striking. The governor works to move North Dakota forward and improve the lives of our citizens while Democrats make petty and mean-spirited personal attacks against him.
The citizens of our state are not fooled by this pettiness. Three times, North Dakotans have elected the governor to office by ever-increasing majorities. And, this November, they will vote to send Hoeven to the U.S. Senate. You can be sure the Democrats will continue to send silly letters to the editor attacking our next U.S. senator.
