Letter to the editor: Cramer seems to be less interested in doing PSC job
All of the erratic statements coming from Kevin Cramer are starting to make me dizzy. First, he said he wasn’t going to run for the U.S. House because he didn’t really want to be a member of Congress, and because running a political campaign would distract him from the energy issues he deals with at the Public Service Commission. Then, he changed his mind and announced he wanted to be a member of Congress after all.By: Billie Diver, The Jamestown Sun
Then, he changed his mind and announced he wanted to be a member of Congress after all.
Now, I read a story in the Bismarck Tribune where two leaders from Cramer’s own party said they think he might cave to pressure from Republicans to run for the Public Service Commission instead of the House. When people from your own party say they’re worried about you “caving” to political pressure, that doesn’t say much about your ability to do what’s right as an elected official. But hold the phone — in the same story, Cramer said he’s cleaning out his office at the PSC. Apparently those energy issues he’s working on in his day job aren’t as important as he thought they were a few months ago.
After all of this, I’m a little confused as to whether Cramer is actually running for the House. But I did learn this: He seems to be much less interested in doing his job at the PSC than he is in saying or doing whatever he needs to get elected.
