District 5 girls’ cage tournament tips Thursday
Postseason high school girls’ basketball kicks off Thursday afternoon at the Jamestown Civic Center.

The Class B District 5 tournament will get underway at 3 p.m., with the No. 1-seeded Ellendale Cardinals facing the No. 8 seed Central Prairie.
The three-time defending District 5 champion Litchville-Marion-Montpelier Rebels earned the No. 2 seed this winter, and will square off against the No. 7-seeded Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal Rebels at 6:30 p.m.
The 4:45 p.m. game will be between Edgeley-Kulm (No. 4) and Barnes County North (No. 5), with the nightcap at 8:15 p.m., between Valley City (No. 3) and LaMoure (No. 6).
