District 5 tournament finishes tonight

The latest winter storm to bury the area forced the final day of the District 5 girls’ basketball tournament to be moved to tonight.
Two Region 3 qualifying games open the day at the Jamestown Civic Center, starting with Edgeley-Kulm (5-16) facing Valley City (8-12) at 4:30 p.m., with Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal (9-11) and LaMoure (3-19) to follow.
The championship game, between Litchville-Marion-Montpelier (15-5) and Ellendale (17-4), meet for the district title around 8 p.m.
