Grand Forks seeking more westbound flights
Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority officials are working to get more westbound flights.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority officials are working to get more westbound flights.
Delta Air Lines recently announced that by June it will have two daily round-trip flights between its Salt Lake City hub and Bismarck, Minot and Fargo.
Grand Forks officials expressed dismay that their city was not included. Gov. John Hoeven said state officials have pushed Delta for westbound flights of Grand Forks, and that the airline is working on it.
Hoeven said oil production in western North Dakota was a factor in the increased flights for Minot and Bismarck.
Grand Forks airport authority officials plan to meet with Allegiant Airlines this week and Delta next week about the possibility of more westbound flights.
