Johnson named musician of month

Brianna Johnson, daughter of Chris and Anna Johnson, has been selected as Jamestown Middle School’s Musician of the Month.

Brianna is a flute section leader in the JMS eight grade band, and a private student of JMS Director of Bands Ken Aune. Brianna has been selected to perform with the 2010 North Dakota Junior High All-State Band. She was selected from a group of 81 auditioning flute students from throughout North Dakota.

The Jamestown Middle School Music Department is under the direction of Aune, Meredith Meidiner and Jennifer Michalenko. Musicians of the month are selected on the basis of their musical ability, work ethic, and involvement in various music programs.
