Police issue citations last week

The Southeast Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol issued 237 citations during a campaign targeting registration violations. The campaign, conducted Feb. 8-14, began and ended with snow, blowing snow and terrible road conditions, the patrol said.

The Southeast Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol issued 237 citations during a campaign targeting registration violations.

The campaign, conducted Feb. 8-14, began and ended with snow, blowing snow and terrible road conditions, the patrol said.

The patrol also issued the following:

* 160 warnings

* 45 registration citations

* 45 registration warnings

* 9 DUI arrests

* 7 DUS arrests

* 5 misdemeanor drug arrests

* 48 no insurance arrests

* approximately 100 vehicles in the ditch

The Southeast Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol will conduct high visibility enforcement campaigns throughout the year. The patrol said it urges people to wear seat belts and never drink and drive.
