Armed man robs Alexandria, Minn., pizza place

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – An armed robber held up the Papa Murphy’s here about 9 p.m. Wednesday, authorities say.

The suspect, a white male in his teens to early 20s, was reportedly wearing a mask that resembled the mask from the movie, Scream. He also was wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

He reportedly flashed a weapon, believed to be a handgun, to the employees and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Alexandria police.

Law enforcement officers and the K-9 unit searched the area but apprehended no one.
