Grand Forks leaders meeting with Delta

Sen. Byron Dorgan says a delegation of Grand Forks leaders is meeting with Delta Air Lines officials in Atlanta on Thursday.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Sen. Byron Dorgan says a delegation of Grand Forks leaders is meeting with Delta Air Lines officials in Atlanta on Thursday.

Delta recently announced that by June it will have two daily round-trip flights between its Salt Lake City hub and Bismarck, Minot and Fargo. Grand Forks officials expressed dismay that their city was not included in the expansion.

Dorgan is chairman of the Senate's aviation panel. The North Dakota Democrat says Delta has not made specific commitments but has promised to consider additional air service for Grand Forks.
