AAUW meeting today at Arts Center
The monthly meeting of AAUW Jamestown Branch is at 8 p.m. today at The Arts Center. The program will feature a film by Kay Sloan, “Suffragettes in the Silent Cinema.” Guests are welcome.

In the days before movies could talk, silent film spoke of sexual politics. Historian and writer Sloan has assembled rare footage that opens a historic window onto how women’s suffrage was represented in early American cinema.
