DEADWOOD, S.D. (AP) — A Deadwood man accused in a shooting that injured two of his neighbors pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges including attempted murder.
Forty-eight-year-old Terry Willis was indicted earlier on eight felony charges in the Feb. 12 shooting that injured Terry Steinbach and his adult son, Monte.
Terry Steinbach was shot in the wrist and his son in the abdomen. Both have since been released from the hospital.
Police reports say Willis claimed his wife and dogs had been harassed by his upstairs neighbors.
