All-District 5 players announced

Following the conclusion of the District 5 boys’ basketball tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center on Monday, all-district honors were handed out to athletes who stood out over the course of the 2009-10 season.
The District 5 champion Valley City Hi-Liner’s Matt Jorissen and Derek Burchill were both selected for all-district honors, along with Litchville-Marion-Montpelier’s Travis Brandvold. The Hi-Liner’s defeated L-M-M 55-45 in Monday’s District 5 championship game.
Litchville-Marion-Montpelier head coach Chad Lueck was tabbed as District 5 coach of the year, after guiding his team to an overall record of 13-9 and a Region 3 tournament berth.
Co-Senior athletes of the year were LaMoure’s Aaron Stemen and Central Prairie’s Nic Moser.
