Bus hits cow, 8 students injured
Eight members of a Minot middle school boys basketball team suffered minor injuries when the school bus they were in hit a cow on the road and went into the ditch Monday night.
MINOT (AP) — Eight members of a Minot middle school boys basketball team suffered minor injuries when the school bus they were in hit a cow on the road and went into the ditch Monday night.
School District Transportation Director Barry Brooks said the crash happened about 10 miles north of Hazen on N.D. Highway 1806. The bus carrying 20 Jim Hill Middle School students, two coaches and the driver was returning from a game at Beulah.
The injured students were treated at a Hazen medical center and released. Brooks said the most seriously injured boy had a cut on his head that required stitches.
Brooks says the bus driver was not cited.
