A semi-truck fire Friday night at S&R Truck Stop resulted in no injuries, said Jerry Kainz, deputy fire chief of the Jamestown Fire Department.
The fire was reported around 9:05 p.m. The fire was extinguished around 9:30 p.m.
A tire on the truck caught fire, possibly from a mechanical problem in the axle, Kainz said.
“The driver did a good job disconnecting the trailer from the tractor so we didn’t have anything involved there,” he said.
