Jesse Trapp, Jamestown, junior at the University of Mary, has been named a recipient of the 2010 Global Village Institute fellowship. She will participate in the June-August internship program at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

The institute, founded in 1988 by Lee Iacocca and Lehigh University, provides leadership and networking opportunities and training in a cross-cultural environment.

In 2009, 107 interns from 54 countries attended the annual event to take part in seminars, business trips, consulting projects and cultural experiences, as well as interact with a variety of corporate executives from large and small organizations, family-owned and start-up business owners, and sole proprietors.

Upon her completion of the six-week program, Trapp will be awarded a certificate of completion as an Iacocca Institute intern in the Global Village for Future Leaders of Business & Industry. She will also present her experiences and the impact of the program to a number of campus and community groups.
