St. Paul’s women studying Sudan

St. Paul’s United Methodist Women will have a book study on Sudan at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Leading the study will be Debra Ball-Kilbourne. The study is open to everyone.

People who received special recognition this year were:

Jewel of a Woman, Carlla Maki, and Women in Mission, Lisa Hoffer, Clara Christ, and Marnie Mohr.

Two women of Sojourners Circle will be 100 this year: Helen Bothne on March 14 and Hilda Ketterling on Sept. 19. Both women reside at Ava Maria Village.

The circles have been providing and serving the food for the Wednesday evenng Lenten suppers at St. Paul’s.

Arlene Sukut and Mayda Mueller are in charge of the March Birthday Partyat Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center at 2:30 p.m. March 25.

The Focus Meeting for area units is April 17 at First United Methodist Church.

United Methodist Wo-men members come from different ethnicities, age groups, cultural backgrounds, economic situations, education levels, family make-ups and parts of the world.

Its diversity as an organization expands its mission work and community.
