Census: Stutsman County gained population

Stutsman County is one of 20 counties in North Dakota showing an increase in population between 2008 and 2009 according to estimates made by the U.S. Census Bureau, according to Richard Rathge, director of the North Dakota State Data Center.

Stutsman County is one of 20 counties in North Dakota showing an increase in population between 2008 and 2009 according to estimates made by the U.S. Census Bureau, according to Richard Rathge, director of the North Dakota State Data Center.

“The bulk of the growth was from in-migration, which is remarkable,” Rathge said. “That has not been seen in many counties for many years.”
